About Us

We first opened our doors in August 2012. We have a fantastic location in Milton next to Milton Country Park, so the running elements of our workouts are excellent.

We believe CrossFit is for everybody. All you need is patience to learn, good form and a willingness to work hard and you will get fantastic results. Here is why it works better than a traditional gym:

  1. A high level of coaching means you progress as an athlete.
  2. Diet and support means your body shape will be optimised.
  3. It’s challenging, fun and different each time you come.

What sets CrossFit apart?

As a gym, we are focused on teaching correct technique to all our clients. We make sure people perfect each movement before we introduce it under intensity.

We aim to build all our members into athletes, who are strong in all areas and have no weaknesses or injuries. Also they will be efficient and skilled at any exercise encountered.

Firstly, we will teach you functional movements so you are prepared for everything life can throw at you. Then we will teach you skills, so you are optimised at all of these movements. We will then develop power, so you are strong in all these movements.

The constant challenge you face at CrossFit means you are always having to develop and so your results continue to improve.

Our Community

We have a fantastic community in the gym, built around our members’ hard work and great coaching and support. Each of our members continues to strive to improve their skills, strength and all-round fitness.

My biggest challenge to date was setting a world record for the most consecutive wallballs; 452.  I also attempted to swim the English Channel and swam the length of lake Windermere (12.5 miles) in 8 hours and 50 minutes in 2009. Background

With a strong background in sport, rowing to Great Britain standard, playing county tennis and rugby to a national standard, exercise is a major part of my life.

Since qualifying, I have coached weight loss classes in the Maldives as well as coaching rowing at Cambridge University.

Outside of competitive sport I am always up for a challenge, having canoed the width of Britain and completed the Three Peaks challenge. My attempt to cycle from John O’ Groats to Lands End unfortunately ended early following injury. More recently I have competed in ‘Tough Mudder’ and ‘Spartan Race’ events and I’m always looking for new adventures.

CrossFit provides the variety and strength and skills challenges to make it enjoyable every session.

Previously employed in the food industry for 5 years as a chef then a product developer, meaning alongside my degree I have a very in depth knowledge about nutrition and diet.

“My passion is fitness and sport of any kind. I’m a true student to the term fitness as an overweight / then underweight teenager, I made all the mistakes and in turn learnt from them and became stronger both mentally and physically to become the person I am today (still learning, but so far from where I was).

I’ve competed in multiple CrossFit competitions, run 20 mile obstacle courses and competed against the Brownlee twins in a 9 hour charity event … all things I would have considered impossible feats 6-8 years ago.

My ambition and aim is to impart my years of learning and experience in fitness and weight management in order to help people avoid the mistakes I made. In turn I want to set them on a quicker path to be the person they want and deserve to be.”

Will Stacey

I joined the military in 2005 and am still currently serving in the military (13 years to date). I have been a physical training instructor for 7 years.

The main sport in my life is CrossFit, which I started practicing several years ago, and it has become a great passion of mine. I have always been into running – mainly off road and over hills. As well as this, I have completed various 10km, half marathons and marathons, obstacle races and ultra to double ultra marathons. I have also spent my earlier years doing strongman, powerlifting style competitions as well as hypotrophy and volume training. I have a great passion for hill walking and love the outdoors.

I have always had a huge passion for Fitness, Nutrition and Sport. Having worked in the Fitness industry now for over 12 years, I’ve gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience. During that time I’ve also seen a lot of ‘gimmicks’ and fads come and go.

My passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals is why I continue in this line of “work”. I genuinely get a kick out of seeing one of my clients do something they thought they initially couldn’t.
Constantly trying to improve myself and learn more is a big focus of mine. I’m always looking for new information and ways to train clients and myself. I’ve found that functional movements performed at high intensity combined with a good diet and 1-2-1 training is the best way to reach your fitness goals. I’ve trained dozens of clients this way with fantastic results.

I firmly believe what you put in, you get out when it comes to training and health. Fitness and Nutrition should be a way of life, and not something that once you reach your goal, you drop.

Background:

My background started with Rugby which I played all through my youth and a few years within a senior squad for local Team Shelford. I also had the opportunity to represent Cambridgeshire county and the combined eastern counties squads too.

I am naturally competitive and have a huge passion for fitness and challenging myself so following on from Rugby, Crossfit has been a natural progression forward. I greatly enjoy spending my time training in the gym as well as now being able to coach and help others in their journeys through fitness.

Outside of the gym I have passions in the outdoors, hiking, climbing and obstacle course racing to name a few examples. I enjoy combining this love of the outdoors with physical challenges and hope to undertake plenty of these in the future.

My hope is that I can continue to commit myself to Crossfit as my chosen sport and compete within it in the future as well as helping others to realise their own potentials and goals physically and in other aspects of their lives through fitness.

Nicola currently runs our CrossFit Mums classes on a Monday morning. She is a mum of four, two boys and two girls, and has been coaching mums since 2009 when she established her own company, BuggyBootcamp.

Nicola is an accomplished triathlete and netball player, having played for Cambridge University and currently with City of Ely. As well as her training, Nicola knows from personal experience how pregnancy and childbirth can affect the body and its responses to exercise. She has competed in many running and triathlon events, including Ironman distance races and has coached other women to do the same.

Nicola created the programme for CrossFit Mums based on her belief that women can be fitter and healthier than ever after a baby and these classes allow mums to fit their exercise into their day, as baby comes too.

Emma Pawson

Emma Pawson Director of Transform Nutrition brings with her a wealth of qualifications and experience.
