What is CrossFit Kids?
Using activities that kids naturally enjoy, “CrossFit Stags and Does Kids” provides a fitness program that is safe, fun and energetic. Our CrossFit Kids program uses a combination of skill practice, workouts, and games to build strength and conditioning in children.
Our goal is to help children become the best possible version of themselves. We are committed to teaching children to become successful leaders while also promoting the importance of health and fitness in a safe and positive learning environment.
Why it’s so good for kids
It makes fitness FUN. In addition to learning new skills, you will notice your child makes better food choices, has greater confidence in themselves and their abilities, is more focused in school, transitions to new sports more easily, and has a reduced risk of sport-related injury.
Our classes include elements of gymnastics, weight lifting, body weight movements, running, jump roping, and more. More specifically, it teaches the 10 General Physical Skills. These skills are the base for any sport or discipline your child may pursue. Improvement in each of these physical capacities will directly lead to your child having an increased ability to learn and succeed in other sports.
There are 2 different classes
CrossFit Kids 5-12yrs
A fun class introducing gymnastic style resistance training with light external objects, for example a PVC pipe, or medicine balls.
CrossFit Teens 13-17yrs
Continuing to develop gymnastic movements & starting to learn weighted movements, with a focus on volume rather than load.
Safety and teaching technique is our priority
Our coach is fully qualified and dedicated to looking after kids and helping them develop skilfully and safely.
Our Classes typically last around 45 minutes.
Crossfit kids (5-12yr) Monday at 4:15pm
Crossfit Teens (13-17yr) – Saturdays TBA
